John P. Gaddis is a global leader in corporate and government security. His extensive experience includes a two-decade career as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, US Department of State, retiring as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Foreign Missions.  In the private sector, John was the Director of Global Security for two Fortune 500 companies. John leads the Corporate Crisis Group’s (CCG) Security Division.

Prior to joining CCG, John Gaddis was Executive Vice President at a major international security firm where he had profit and loss, as well as operational accountability for all divisions including strategic initiatives, investigations, off duty police officers and security consulting. Prior to that, he was the Director of Global Security for LyondellBasell, a $40 billion petrochemical company with 14,000 direct hire employees and 13,000 contractors. John Gaddis had responsibility for security, crisis management, and emergency response operations at over 100 plant sites/offices located in 18 countries. Previously, he served as the Global Director of Security for GE Consumer and Industrial, based in Louisville, Kentucky.

Prior to entering the private sector, John Gaddis was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Office of Foreign Missions, where he had overall responsibility for diplomatic security. During his more than 20-year career with the United States Department of State, John Gaddis had direct or supervisory responsibilities for diplomatic security in the Middle East and South Asia, Russia, Thailand, Egypt, Zimbabwe, and Monrovia. During his government service, he also had responsibilities for countermeasures and information security, as well as at the Chicago and Dallas Field Offices. Prior to his State Department work, he served in the United States Marine Corps, including postings at the U.S. embassies in Poland and Greece.

John Gaddis previously served as the vice-chair of the American Fuels & Petrochemical Manufacturers security committee and as an active member of the American Chemical Council security committee. He is a member of AFCE, and active in the Diplomatic Security Special Agent’s Association, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the American Society of Industrial Security and the Overseas Security Advisory Committee (OSAC).

John Gaddis is a graduate of the University of North Texas and of the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He resides in Galveston, Texas
